From time to time I come across baby photos in people's Flickr streams and find myself thinking "I wish I'd thought of something similar when mine was that age" (and she's only 11 months old as I write this)!

This is a group for sharing ideas for baby photos that go at least a little way beyond the normal (though indeed important) range of portrait or situational shots, images that you wish you'd thought of making (or are glad you did think of and thus would like to share with others), pictures that will contribute to your child's understanding and enjoyment of a period of their life they'll likely not have clear memories of for themselves.

One Simple Rule: Many group pools become dumping grounds for people's catalogues of imagery and how many of us devote time to working our way through the images in group pools anyway? For the purposes of this group pool there will be one simple rule. Before adding an image to the pool you must first of all add it to a discussion thread, either initiating a new thread with the image or adding the image to an existing thread dealing with a similar visual topic. The intention here is to engender a group that pays attention to each member's submissions and as much as possible discusses them.
