About awful cameras

Tired of shooting with a bazillion megapixels? Bored with multi-coating? Weary of ergonomic design and optical perfection? Go find yourself an awful camera, load up some outdated film and shoot!

A group for those who embrace the the notion that the equipment used is merely an means to an end, for those who can use their eye and their heart to create beauty no matter the camera.

I suggest checking out your local camera shop, thrift store, yard sale, antique shop or grandmas basement. Finding a terrible camera is usually as easy as falling off a log.

Dualflex's, Ansco's, Argus Bricks, Kodak 620's, Fake SLR's that go 'click' and wind with a wheel, 126 cameras, thrift store finds which need a hammer and duct tape to function, odd things with plastic lenses.

No Lomos, Holgas or Dianas please. there's enough groups out there for those already. As much as you might hate your Digital Rebel it's still a pretty darn good camera compared to an Argus A.
