History of the Order of Avalon

In the early years, the Realm of Avalon was divided into two kingdoms. Ruled by wise kings, each one had his own order, known as the “Order of the Lion” and the “Order of the Eagle”. The kings ruled and protected the land with strong and wise hands. After long and prosperous lives, the kings were finally laid to rest in the ancient catacombs of Avalon, beneath one of the old cemeteries. Sealed with magic and secured with deadly traps, their graves remained untouched for eons. Centuries later, the two kingdoms joined and the “Order of Avalon” was founded. The order's symbol was the gryphon, which connected the emblems of both ancient orders, the lion and the eagle. Lead by descendants from both kingdoms, the brave knights and legendary heroes of the order protected the kingdom and guarded the catacombs. Today, there are only a few surviving descendants of these monarchs, but the order still exists. Many heroes from distant lands and different races joined the order, to protect the Realm of Avalon from evil forces.
