About Automotive Technology

This group was created to feature all the fascinating breakthroughs in technology for the automotive industry.

Please DO NOT submit photos of Nascar stock cars, modified race cars, or car shows. This group is intended for vehicles that are assembled on a production line and distributed for sale for the consumer.

1. Do not submit photos of modified vehicles! We want the factory OEM vehicle displayed here. Wheels are the ONLY exception.

2. You CAN include photos from dealerships AS LONG AS the photograph's subject is veered towards technological feature(s) and artistic design and is of good quality.

3. Full vehicle photos are also accepted but must be good quality and at least semi-professional level. We want to the car to look FLATTERING, not cheap. Think advertisement.

If any of these rules are broken, your photos will be deleted. You may continue to submit photos as long as they follow the rules. However, if you repeatedly submit photos that break the group rules, you will be permanently banned from the group.

I would like to add that it is crucial but not required to comment on other people's photos in the group. Photographers cannot improve their work without critiquing. Please no comments like "nice" or "great". That is just laziness. If you comment on someone's photo, please include one thing you like about the photo and one thing you think they could improve on. Thanks!

Front time to time, I will create topics that are specific to certain technological features of vehicles such as Navigation Systems, transmission types (photos of gear shifts), Reverse camera and parking assistance features, etc... for voting and opinions. If you have any ideas for topics please send your ideas to me and I will post them if accepted with credit.
