About Australian Gaols/Jails

Whilst Gaols are seen as infamous, some of the most beautiful architecture can be seen within their walls. And unlike many other buildings which get in the way of progress, gaols are unique that they remain fairly unchanged and well preserved. I encourage anyone who is a member or just passing by this group to upload your photos as a way of preserving our architectual past. If possible, include a bit of history about the section you have photographed.
