StrobeAust: Aussie strobists looking for a strobist home for organising local strobist sessions.

If you don't already know then there's a whole world of photography that you should explore. ;)
It's about understanding and using off-camera flash lighting to enhance your photography.
Check out the photos and see if you can do that with a normal on-camera flash. Not really.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NB: When you post a photo to the group pool, please make sure you also detail some lighting information so that others can learn from your great work. Photos without lighting information risk being deleted from the group pool.
What type of lighting information?
Details like lighting position(s), modifiers as a minimum; triggering system, settings and flash types prefered. Also the power settings.
This group is intended just to make Australian centric discussion more accessible to us rather than to partition off the Aussies from the main global group.
Here are our guidelines:
1. Continue to post your general strobist photos on the main site as well as this one. Aussie strobist shots can go here too provided that when you do post here, put your best ones on the main site too.
2. Continue to discuss general strobist topics on the main site too. Aust. based discussions can go here. Otherwise we risk diluting the global strobist community that David has worked hard to build. Thanks David!
4. Of particular interest are your postings that are related to either a group meeting, outing, assignment or sourcing strobist gear in Aust.. Of course, set up shots are most welcome too.
5. Please make sure to title and tag your photos appropriately & include lighting information.
For meet up shoots there should be at least 4 tags per photo.

This way, you can search in our pool for the shots of the meet, by the group and by model. e.g. to check out our shots search in our pool for: SYD-SA2, etc.
6. Please leave comments on fellow pool-goers photos. We all grow when we share.
7. Please remember this is a public forum and anyone (even your clients) can read your comments; keep it clean and professional at all times.
8. It's ok to post photos that have been processed with effects. It's also a great idea to label/comment on them to acknowledge the fact.
Posting limits: ( I can't work out how to add these to the side of the page :( ) General: Members can post up to 4 photos to the pool each day. Following local strobist meetings: Posting limits now still apply, from 1/9/08, apply to shots resulting from local strobist meetings.
