About Atlantikwall
The Atlantikwall (English: Atlantic wall) was an extensive system of coastal fortifications built by the German Third Reich in 1942 until 1945 during World War II along the western coast of Europe to defend against an anticipated Allied invasion of the continent from Great Britain. On March 23, 1942 Führer Directive Number 40 called for the official creation of the Atlantic Wall.
These bunkers aren't just military buildings. These functional buildings also have a big architectural and esthetic value.
Post your most beautiful Atlantikwall photos in this group. We're not looking for registrations of what one can see. We're looking for the beauty in these objects.
