About Asheville

Asheville is a city tucked on a plateu in the North Carolina mountains. With such natural beauty around, it has been a richly spiritual place even before the Europeans, Biltmore and Bauhaus. It’s been called the “Paris of the South,” and "Santa Fe of the East,” or “the New Age Mecca,” but why compare her to some other city? Rolling Stone’s gave it the moniker “The Freak Capital of the US,” but we who live here tend to define ‘freak’ with a lot wider interpretation than most.
So let this little group be photos and descriptions about Asheville and how she defines herself. From the diverse people to the beautiful vistas and the social consciousness and the wiccan earthgoddess. Show it as a tourist destination and an artist colony; show it wearing its historic ’30s architectural topcoat or its crazy new-age dreadlocks - or both!
