Work. It’s something we can’t escape. Whether it’s the search for it, muddling through it, or the elusive act of enjoying it, the Lawrence Percolator is looking for work about Work. “art on the clock” is a show dedicated to that buzzing activity we do on a daily basis. Post-it doodles, MS Paint artwork to pass the time, fully-realized sketches on the backs of receipt paper, sculptures or collages made from the detritus of your job, or even work made off the clock that is concerned with the topic of your job, or lack therof. Wage slaves! Corporate climbers! The recently unemployed! Show us your creative outlet from the hours not your own, or too much your own.

To Enter: Join the .art on the clock. group on Flickr. Upload 5 images of pieces you would like to submit and in the description please put Title, dimensions, medium, and price, if for sale.

Deadline for submissions : SEPT 10
Notification of Acceptance : SEPT 13
Absolute deadline for shipping/dropping off work: SEPT 22
Soft Open (no reception) : SEPT 24
*Hard Closing (reception with web-cam linkage) : OCT 23
*This show is being held as a collaboration with the “WoRK” show held at the New Orleans Photo Alliance. The Lawrence show will be linked via web-cam to the opening reception for “WoRK”. Come share in this exciting event!

Pieces should be ready to hang! Shipping is to be paid by artist, if applicable. If possible, please include a SASE for return of work. If for sale, the Lawrence Percolator receives 20% of final sale price. Limit of five submissions per person. All mediums accepted. May submit to both shows.
