This is a group for all sketchers, drawers and painters out there who love to draw where they live and visit, capturing the people and scenes that are part of their everyday world.
This group was created in August 2011 by Jan Allsopp in conjunction with The Artling blog. It is a place for readers of the blog to share their experiments in sketching people and places.
POSTING GUIDELINES ARE SIMPLE AND FEW
Before sharing your drawings in the pool, make sure they meet these basic criteria and they are done in The Artling spirit:
• The drawing is your own, done on location, or from photos you took yourself or from memory.
• The drawing is of an everyday scene.
• No sketches from life drawing classes or posed models
• No photography - sketching, drawing or paintings only
Members agree to maintain the group's pool focused on everyday sketching, drawing and painting. Any drawings that don't fit the guidelines will be removed from the Group Pool. Members are encouraged to write descriptions and stories associated with each sketch.
