08 Oct 10 - Hi everyone, please remember to only post ARTISTICALLY taken photos. I've seen a bunch of straight-on non-artistic shots lately. I realize that "artistic" is somewhat open to interpretation but if your photo is a straight-on shot and doesn't rely on any artistic elements of photography then it shouldn't be posted to this pool.

Update: I've started reviewing/moderating submissions because more than half of all submissions are not meeting the criteria of the group.

About Artistic Coin Photography

This group is strictly for ARTISTIC photos of coins. There should be at least one coin in the photo and that coin (or coins) should be the subject of the photo. Photos that violate this will be removed from the pool.

I've seen other coin groups on Flickr but they seem to be geared more toward coin collectors. They present predominantly straight on shots of coins. This may serve a useful purpose for collectors but I think coins present a great opportunity for photographers to get creative. Enjoy!
