About Artisans Guild of Street Photography
Rules, rules, rules. Gotta have'em, unfortunately.
I. How to post a photo to AGSP:
a.) You need to have received an invitation to post one of your photos, OR
b.) Submit a photo to the pool and if the moderators approve it, it appears in the pool.
I. What kind of photos to post to AGSP:
a.) Street photography -- black & white, tint, or color. NO HDR, NO HEAVY PHOTOSHOPPING. Contrast, color, & highlight/shadow adjustments are okay, but the goal is to keep it as close to "out of the box" as possible.
("What is street photography?" Hmmm...good luck defining that one. If you don't have any idea, you might want to get some familiarity with the genre, and some of its more notable practicioners, before joining or posting. None of us claim to be experts on the subject, but we know what we like when we see it.)
III. What are the moderators looking for?:
Something interesting that qualifies as street photography. It could be an interesting face or expression. It could be an HCB "decisive moment" (good luck with that one). It could be the way the lights or shadows are falling.
IV. Can I invite other people's photographs?:
Yes. But if the photo is not deemed suitable for the pool it will be deleted. Use the code below to invite.

You are invited to display this image at www.flickr.com/groups/artisans_streetphotos/

V. Are comments and/or critiques welcome?: Always, but try to keep it respectful. This is not intended to be a "Give Six Teddy Bear Buttons and Hug to the Third Person on Your Right" Group, but we're not looking for caustic kewler-than-you sarcasm either.
If you can't take criticism or having your photo deleted, run to the kittens. If you're chronically hip and think spouting obscenities lends you an air of cynical sophistication, then...well, you'd only be interested in this group as sneer fodder anyway, so bugger off.
