The Art Gallery of NSW invites you to submit your favourite photographs of clouds to celebrate the upcoming exhibition at the Gallery: Alfred Stieglitz: the Lake George years. More information
Lake George was where Alfred Stieglitz conceived his remarkable cloud photographs the 'Equivalents'. This significant exhibition features 150 of the finest photographs Steiglitz ever printed, including some of these cloud photographs.
To celebrate the exhibition, submit your favourite photographs of clouds to this group for your chance to win one of two prizes:
Sydney prize: a tour of the exhibition with exhibition curator, Judy Annear, for you and up to 3 friends*
Global prize: a catalogue of the exhibition.
So look up to the skies, shoot and submit.
Photos from the group may be displayed on the Art Gallery of NSW website and/or Facebook page.

*Tour with curator will run at a time to be determined with the winner. An expert guide may lead the tour if a suitable time for both the winner and the curator cannot be arranged.
SUBMITTING YOUR PHOTOGRAPH
This group is for photos of clouds inspired by the photography of Alfred Stieglitz.
To submit, simply join this group and add your photographs to the pool anytime until 2 August 2010.
You can add up to 10 photographs to this group.
HOW TO ADD YOUR PHOTOGRAPH: STEP BY STEP
1. Join Flickr and Upload Your Photograph
To add your photograph to Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… photo project, you will need join Flickr . Basic membership of Flickr is free.
Once you are a member of Flickr, you can upload your photographs through your browser, by email or in a number of other ways. For more information on Flickr, see the Flickr Frequently Asked Questions.
2. Join the Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… group
To join the Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… group, sign in to your Flickr account, then go to the Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… group page and click "Join This Group?" on the right-hand side of the page.
3. Add your photograph to Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… group
Once you have joined the Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… group you can add your photograph to the group pool. Go to the photograph's page in Flickr, click on the "Send to Group" button above the photo, and select Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… from the drop-down menu.
4. You're done
You can add up to ten photographs to the Art Gallery of NSW: Clouds inspired by… group.
IMPORTANT DATES
Photographs should be submitted by 2 August 2010 to be eligible to be considered for a prize.
Winners will be announced 5 August, with the tour to be taken before 5 September, when the exhibition closes.
