Baltimore Ink: Tattoo Design Contest
Here’s how it works:
Visit The Baltimore Museum of Art, and find your favorite work of art. Remember: write down the name of the artist & name of the work of art!
Design a tattoo inspired by this work of art.
Enter the Baltimore Ink: Tattoo Design Contest by uploading your tattoo design on the BMA’s Flickr™ page.
Deadline for submissions: May 12, 2008
The prize package for the tattoo design contest includes signed copies of Mitch O’Connell: Tattoos and Permanence: Tattoo Portraits by Kip Fulbeck. The first place winner will also receive a free one-year subscription to Skin and Ink magazine.
Winners will be announced during Baltimore Ink: Patterns on Bodies on May 31 at the BMA. This special ticketed event features nationally acclaimed tattoo artists! For more information, visit artbma.org.
How Do I Submit My Tattoo Design?
Join Flickr™ (It’s Free)
Upload your photographs (Mminimum resolution: 800 x 600 pixels)
Join the BMA Baltimore Ink Group
Describe your design with the following information:
The title of your tattoo design
The title and artist of the work of art that inspired you
Tag your photos: BaltimoreMuseumofArt and BaltimoreInk
Add them to the group
To enter, upload your design to the BMA's Flickr™ page.
By submitting your tattoo design to The Baltimore Museum of Art group, you agree to the terms and conditions of the Flickr™ community and the BMA Group Rules.

Can't seem to upload my photo to the BMA's group site. I did join and uploaded the photo to my page, but can't go any further than that. The BMA's advice on their website was to join the group and go to help... doesn't seem to work... any advice... JPW

click on your photo and at the top of your photo select the words send to group

Thanks Denee, got it on the BMA site, not sure if it is in the Baltimore Ink area, but at least it is a step forward. My wife, Coleen, appreciated your advice. JPW

Thanks for submitting your design! All of the photos added to the BMA group enter the same pool. This is where tagging comes in! By tagging your artwork as specified in the submission guidelines, photos can be sorted/categorized by specific contest.
