About Art and the Eye
The focus of the pictures here is the eye - or the eyes. Computer created or real eyes, PhotoShopped or painted, charcoal or glass, etc. The eye as you see it or the eye as it sees (reflections). We are NOT looking for simple photographs or snapshots, but for artwork. This group is especially for the art and design community, again not the casual photographer.
As this is a new group and I've never "created" a group here on Flickr before, rules will be made as they are required and posts will be deleted as deemed necessary to keep the focus on art and the eye.
Please, no gore or violence, thank you.
Welcome!
Rule #1 - Admins have the right to make decisions on whether or not a picture submitted to the group meets the artistic nature and standards of the pool and its founders. So, PHOTOS WILL BE DELETED FROM THE POOL AS DEEMED NECESSARY. Please, no hurt feelings - this will never be personal. These deletions will be made quietly, no comment, no fuss. Any members who cause a scene over any cullings will be warned.
Rule #2 - In order to keep a quality pool, I would like to make the following suggestion. As new people come into the group, it is good that they post representative work and I think that we should keep as many of their works as possible for a period of time. This way other group members can study their work and make constructive comments to help them better their art or make comments to help the member boost up their comment/views count. But after a period of time (a week or a month, whatever), the less polished, less artistic posts will be culled. I don't want to see any budding artist devastated because their work is denied a proper "airing" or callously deleted "out of hand". And I want to emphasize that this is to keep up the quality of the artwork in the pool. There is no sense in even having a pool if it is not something to be proud of. Also, the more established and practiced artists will not want to post their work in a pool that is not properly administered and where the majority of the work showcased is of amateur or casual quality.
