The Rocketeer (a group admin) says:
25 Mar 10 - NOTE: New rules and moderation are now in place for this group.
Your submission may not be accepted because it is more Art Nouveau than Art Deco.
Please limit your submissions to only one or two very different photos of each subject. Photos that are very similar to one another (i.e. same subject but only a slightly different angle) may not be accepted. Continual submissions of these after they've been rejected will jeopardize your membership in the group. All decisions by admin are final.

About Art Deco
All designs Art Deco. Capture it on film or digitally and share it here.
As of March 13, 2010, moderation of the group will begin to keep inappropriate photos from being in the group. New members will be required to agree to the following rules and current members will be held to these rules as well:
Please keep your submissions in line with the definition of Art Deco provided by Wikipedia, here. We will try to be lenient on what is posted for consideration, but since so many people are posting portraits, landscapes and photos that reveal that the artist submitting the photo is ignorant, we will begin moderating the submissions from now on.
Don't let that prevent you from enjoying the group.
Points to remember:
If your photo is rejected and you submit it again two more times, you will be removed from the group, but your photos previously found appropriate and submitted will remain. This will give you another chance to join the group and agree to these rules.
If you rejoin the group and continue to submit the same photos that were rejected, you will be banned.
This process is used successfully on other groups and I'm sure it will make for a much better experience for the members of this one.
Thank you,
Administration
