This is the first step towards a Digital Noah's Ark for Hong Kong.

This group has been set up to appreciate and value the natural world and fauna around us in Hong Kong. It's a place for everyone to enjoy posting and seeing great animal pictures, and a place for the more experienced users to inspire others, whilst contributing to a living record of the Fauna in Hong Kong. (Please note, that we reserve the right to delete any non-native species from the pool).

成立這個群組的目的是為了讚美和重視我們身邊的香港自然世界和動物。這是一個給享受分享和觀賞美妙動物相片的人的地方。與此同時，這亦是一個給老手啟發他人和貢獻活生生的香港動物記錄的地方。

Please come back and participate in the photographic competitions. The very best of each animal - male and female - will be considered for THE ARK.
THE ARK is a comprehensive digital collection of all animal species in Hong Kong. Images will be chosen in March 2009 with the launch of a new website and photo exhibition...so get snapping and get posting.....

We invite you to enjoy the wonderful pictures of our natural environment, and encourage you to explore the many different creatures that exist in Hong Kong. We hope you will appreciate these animals and take away fond memories of these special images, but also a better understanding of the fragile nature of our environment. Many of these creatures you see here face daily threats to their survival so please take a moment to consider what you can do to halt this destruction. Everyone has a part to play. Everybody can help to make a difference, every day, through small choices and lifestyle changes that can have a big impact to the general health and well-being of the planet.
