How to enter the monthly FLICKR photo contest:

• Join The Arizona Passages group on Flickr if you are not already a group member.
• Add your photo to the Arizona Passages pool and tag it with “AOT2010Contest”.
o If you forget to tag your photo it will not be entered in the contest. AOT is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete entries or technical errors.
• Upload the highest-resolution image possible. 8”x10” @ 300 dpi is an optimum, though not required, size.

• Be sure to read the contest rules below.

The FLICKR photo contest process:

• Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. The judges are a panel of Arizona Office of Tourism staff members familiar with photography and responsible for selecting images for various Arizona Office of Tourism printed and online marketing materials.
• The judges will select 5 finalists, which will be posted to AOT's facebook page for voting on a finalist. Voting will take place for 1 week each month after the monthly contest closes at www.facebook.com/arizonatravel
• The Arizona Office of Tourism retains the sole discretion over the selection of, and decision not to select, any particular entry as the winner.
Winners of the monthly FLICKR photo contest will receive:
• Camera storage backpack so that you can easily tote your SLR and lenses along on your next outdoor Arizona adventure
• Photo will be featured as main image on our Facebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com/arizonatravel
• Photo will be published in the Arizona Office of Tourism’s e-newsletter that will be distributed to approx. 300,000 people that have an expressed interest in Arizona.
• Photo will be published on our website: www.arizonaguide.com
• Photo may be used in additional marketing efforts by the Arizona Office of Tourism.

FLICKR photo contest rules:

• Photos must be taken in the state of Arizona.
• There is an entry limit of five photos from each person, per month.
• Photos that you submit must be your own work and you must own the rights to distribute the image.
• You must have the consent of those whose faces are visible in the image. If your photo is selected for publication you will be required to provide a release form for each individual in your photograph.
• By entering the contest on the Arizona Office of Tourism’s Flickr Group Pool and tagging it with “AOT2010Contest” you authorize The Arizona Office of Tourism and its authorized marketing partners to use that image in our e-newsletter and other offline and online marketing materials in perpetuity without any fee or other form of compensation. Photos will be credited whenever possible.
• You will retain ownership and all other rights to your image.
• By entering the contest the participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Arizona Office of Tourism and the State of Arizona from any issues, losses, or actions emanating from or in relation to this photo contest. This would include any losses or issues related to third party claims of copyright infringement or violations of personal privacy.
• By participating in the contest you agree to the terms of these rules.
