We ask several different questions when considering a photo for Arete :

1) Is this photo interesting? Is it unique?
2) Does this photo have a thought-provoking message?
3) Does this photo demonstrate exceptional composition/color/focus/use of subject/light?

Arete carefully monitors which photos are added. This ensures a group of quality work, so don't be offended if your photo doesn't make it in! Try a different photo another time!
