About Åreskutan

I fell in love with this mountain during the 2007 FIS Alpine World Ski Championshpis in Åre, Sweden. Åreskutan rises to over 1,400 meters, one of the highest mountains in Sweden. Much of the mountain is above treeline, with views all the way west to Norway. On my introductory trip, over a foot of rime ice and snow coated all of the structures at the top of the mountain.
