About Temple Arch 0132
Building on skills developed in previous semesters, Digital Media focuses on the development of a graphic language with which designs can be communicated and advanced. Various techniques will be investigated both for their representational merits and their ability to serve the design process. Digital concepts, applications and methods will be compared and strategies developed for manipulating tools, resulting in both desired and unexpected outcomes.
Workflow across multiple software packages and media will be emphasized through a range of both physical and digital inputs and outputs. Technical skills including rendering of materials and lighting simulation will be investigated. The establishment of hierarchical relationships and the creation of communicative drawings will be a consistent conceptual thread throughout the course.
