About Applique Circles and Dots!

This is a group to showcase your projects that feature appliqued fabric dots (not dot print fabric). You can post quilts, clothing, handbags, pillows, pretty much anything that is made with fabric that you have appliqued one or more dots onto. Please do not post fabric covered buttons, polka dot fabric, paper projects, or anything else that is not an actual applique dot. The dots can be any size. Use your imagination, and let's inspire one another! Tutorials are more than welcome!
Making circles!

My very favorite method!

Alternative methods:

Tips:
-Remember to press with your iron, every step of the way. You don't want any puckers or wrinkles. Starch is very helpful.
-I use clear thread to stitch my circles down to whatever I'm making. You can't even see the stitches! But if you don't have clear thread, use a thread color that is close to the circle's fabric color when you are stitching them down. If the circles are different colors, but relatively the same as far as light/darks use a grey that blends in.
-Have fun and place the circles on the tablecloth or quilt and them move them around a few times before settling on a design. You may find that you have to move certain ones apart or closer together for the look you are going for. You don't want a few to be sewn down and THEN notice that they don't look "right".
-Experiment with different size circles! The template in your kit is just one size to play with. Go smaller, or even larger!
-If you have some favorite fabric scraps, this is a great way to showcase them in a patchwork quilt. Because of the circle shape, they will really stand apart from all the squares and rectangles.
