About apex macro
Like the apex group, this pool is intended to provide a showcase for exemplary achievement in photography. In this case however the pool is restricted to just your best macros.
There are a number of fine groups to post many many macro shots that we take daily, however in being very selective in what macros you post here will ensure your "apex of achievement" has good company in a pool worthy of its name.
The group is by invitation only, so please invite those artists that produce exceptional macros you'd like to see in the pool.
We'll aim to limit submitted artwork to 10 per person to again highlight those trare images that represent the peak of an artists portfolio.
Apex:
1: the highest point (of something); "at the peak of the pyramid" [syn: vertex, peak, acme]
2: the point on the celestial sphere toward which the sun a solar system appear to be moving relative to the fixed stars
Macroscopic:
1: large enough to be visible to the naked eye
The hope is that the images within this pool will all be exemplary and thus worthy of comment. When posting an image browse the pool to find some you also hold in high regard. As a member when you find such works that strike you as the apex of acomplishment, consider inviting the photographer to post to the pool.
To acknowledge when you've found an image would like to invite to the pool please cut and paste the following into your comment:
This image demonstrates an achievement in the art of macro-photography. Please consider adding it to the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/apexmacro"> apex macro group </a> where such exemplary work is recognized. If you are not yet a member simply request to join, noting your photograph was invited.
Also add a tag "apexmacro" to any images you post.
Lastly feedback is welcomed, both positive and constructive on any photo in the pool. Enjoy and lets see some of the best you've got!
