In the latest Mac OS X update 10.4.10:

* Adds RAW image decoding support for the following cameras: Panasonic DMC-LX1, Panasonic DMC-LX2, Leica M8, Leica D-LUX 2, Leica D-LUX 3, Fuji S5 Pro, Nikon D40x, and Canon EOS 1D Mk III.

Can I get an “Amen”?

So many cameras in that list I want but can't afford.

I'd give my left leg to upgrade my original Canon 1D to a 1D mk III and I'd love to get a Leica M8.

Finally my D40x is supported. To bad no support for the Panasonic FZ-50.

So now I have to decide if I'm going to start shooting Raw with my Nikon. Hmmmm… Hard decision! ;-)

I've been waiting for that for so long since I'm a mac applications addict...
But i got to say that I just tried aperture with that new d-lux 3 support and lightroom seems to be a lot more convenient and easy to use.
developpement tools look a lot better to me in LR.
would be curious to see what other people experiencing the same thing think.
would love to get back to aperture but definitely not convinced.... bummer...
so long folks... !

@tychay:

hey man! cool app. but i meant uncheck specific camera raw support (for instance, cameras we don't own/have.)

have you tried Delocalizer? if so, how much additional space did you get?

thanks

I don't see much benefit to unselecting cameras you don't need. The raw processing isn't that big. The Raw.plist is 110KB and the libRaw.dylib (that does the actual decoding) is only 1MB in size.

is that so? ok then, cool, i thought they took up some significant space there...
