01 Mar 07 - I've taken advantage of the new group admin tools to do the following:
- The group rules are now required reading before joining.
- The pictures are now moderated (meaning they won't go in immediately)
- There's now a limit of 2 per day (the old limit was no more than two on the front page; given the post rate for this group that's about the same)

About Animate Objects
Photos of ordinarily inanimate objects that seem to be alive, bursting (or simmering) with their own personalities.
In order to maintain the spirit of the group, please keep this in mind:
This group IS for:
- pictures of objects that are normally inanimate (a chair, a paper clip, a rock) that "seem" to be living a secret kind of life
This group is NOT for:
- pictures of stuffed animals
- pictures of objects that "look like" people or animals
- pictures of people or animals
- pictures of plants/trees/flowers that do not have a secretly lived life
If it may not be obvious to others (including the admins) how the picture is of an inanimate object "living its life," you should provide a background story for your object in the description/comments
See the great examples thread for some examples of what we are looking for, and the (now not used) removed from the pool thread to see what doesn't really fit in this group.
Please tag your photos with the tag animateobjects to allow for easy searches within the pool.
One good way of thinking about it is "could you picture this object in a Pixar film about inanimate objects?" (This comes from a comment y entonces added to atomicity's photo lean on me.)
