About "Animal Encounters" {non-domestic}

Images of human-wildlife encounters.

If the animal in your photo is a protected species please describe the context of the encounter.

If you are on a wildlife tour on holiday, be sure to check the legal status and protection of species. Some unscrupulous tour guides encourage wildlife contact when it is banned by law. Please respect the rules protecting these animals - on many occasions these rules are in place to protect the safety of you, the tourist, and the health of the animal you have come to see. Many diseases that humans carry can be lethal to wild animals, particularly our close cousins the great apes.

As a general rule - tourists should not get closer than 10 metres to wild apes.
