About An Idea of Home
What does home mean? This group is about written and visual ideas of 'home'. It takes its inspiration from Jim Goldberg's Open See exhibition, which was shown at The Photographers' Gallery from 16 October 2009 to 31 January 2010. Goldberg spent time with people who have escaped difficult and turbulent circumstances in their countries of origin, and are now trying to make a new home in Europe.
A selection of images and text from this group also appear on The Photographers' Gallery's public gallery. Thanks to everyone for submitting to An Idea of Home group. This group will remain open, however we have now stopped selecting images to appear on The Photographers' Gallery's website. You can view the final selection at www.photonet.org.uk/anideaofhome
