31 Jul 11 - As a Professional Mountain Guide who has spent several months per year for the past 15 years climbing and guiding climbers to the 6000 meter summits of the South American Andes, I welcome you to the "Andes 6000+" Flickr group.
I'm hoping that we can compile a pool with images of ALL the Andes' 6000M peaks, and that this group can become a useful resource for climbers, trekkers, and those interested in the mountain cultures of the High Andes.

About Andes 6000+

This site is home to photo and video images of the 102 highest peaks of the Andes mountain range of South America.
Please limit content to images of, images captured upon, and images directly relating to the environs of an Andean peak with summit elevation of 6000 Meters or more. Landscapes, mountaineering and trekking action shots, and cultural documentary are all welcome, as long as they directly relate to one of the listed peaks.
Images should be tagged with both the name of the Andean 6000 Meter peak, AND with the country where the peak is located to aid in searches. Frontier peaks can be tagged with either the the country where the photo was taken, or with both country tags.
Mapping your content will also help to make this group pool a useful resource.
Moderators will keep content and tags within the guidelines.
