I have seen the post asking what cameras we have and stuff like that so here is the question and the guide lines

first what camera do you wish you had if
1 money no object?
2 money is some what a question?
3 money is really tite?
4 your better half has to approve all expenditures?
which cameras would you own?
Hans Marvell Posted 16 years ago
Hmm... I had to think about that one, but here are my answers:

1. A mint Olympus OM3Ti with all the remaining lenses I don't own.
2. I just got that camera - the Bronica RF645 - all I need is the rare 45mm lens.
3. Agfa Optima 1535
4. Well, she does'nt dissaprove of my love of old cameras, but she certainly would be pleased if I just had 4 or 5 I use, rather than the 32 I am at now. And that number is down from 47 because I have been selling a bunch of them lately.

1: If money is no object, you gotta think big
2: Already got that one, a Graflex Super Graphic
3: Since this is my normal situation it is more of a question of what will I find next.
4: Not Applicable
MrDAT Posted 16 years ago
1. Nikon F6 and Hasselblad 503CM (WLF/ttl metering)
2 ugh.
3 Disposable :)
4 Probably nothing that I already have :)

1 Mamiya RB67
2 Mamiya RB67
3 Mamiya RB67
4 Mamiya RB67

Been lusting after this and a Contax G1, couldn't afford either but bought both last week anyway.
Then I was given the money back by a mystery benefactor, identity known only to me and I will be eternally grateful for their sponsorship.
As for my wife, I married a photographer so it is never an issue...
*Tegla* Posted 16 years ago
1. Brand new Rolleiflex 2.8, Leica MP both with natural snake skin leather :))).

1.At this moment i really don't want another camera.
My olympus OM4 is superb.
I'm starting to think 35mm is the way to go instead of medium format.
deafening star [deleted] Posted 16 years ago
4x5 large format: a Sinar Model F and a Speed Graphic. And a selection of lenses: a 90mm, 135mm, 150mm, and maybe a 75mm.

2. Hasselblad SWC (have it, almost ruined my student economy)
3. Rolleiflex TLR (My first filmcamera. Cheap and lovely)

2. Bronica SQ-A 6x6
3. Restored 6x6 Agfa or Zeiss folder
4. No better half of mine has never expressed disapproval at any camera purchase. I think before I buy, always saving money to get what I truly will use and what will give me good value for money. My loved ones have always respected that and let me get what I want.

1). Hasselblad 503CW, Mamiya 7, Leica M7, Nikon D700 (after all, if money were no object, why would I choose only one?)

2). Nikon D200, Nikon F100, Mamiya M645 Super

3). Nikon FM2n, Mamiya C330 or Pentacon Six (pretty much my current situation although I don't own the pentacon, yet)

4). I'm not married yet, thank god. But my girl friend is probably a little bothered by the fact that I spend more on film than dinner.

I already have a Nikon F6 with a 50mm f/1.8D

Still, I wish could have the following

1. 28mm f/1.8G
2. 85mm f/1.8G
3. A FX Digital body from Nikon ( D600/D800)

Speaking of film, In my country the price of film and developing cost is darn cheap. A single roll of Fujicolor c200 (36 exposures) costs only 2$ and the developing cost is only 1$ per roll. So, it is not a problem. :)

1V-HS or Leica?

The Canon is rarely available here in New Zealand, but I could get a good used one from ebay for between about $500 and $700 NZD. I am quite happy to pay that much for one.

Leica's don't come up very often in New Zealand either and when they do they are always at crazy prices.

Leica m7 with a 28-35 and 50mm lens (1.4 of course ;), a new hasselblad 503cw, and some glass and magazins (plus the ttl finder) and a swc. (but can it also include a hasselblad scanner?)
and a linhof master technica with some glass and film holders.

And of course a pile of film, chemistry and paper.

But then, if money wouldn't be an issue. But else, I am quite happy with the stuff I have.
