18 Aug 09 - Hello Kindred Spirits! Thanks so very much for joining in, I'm happy to know that you're keeping your eye out for these colonial soldiers! Please invite any Flickr photographers you see who are taking shots of American Revolution soldier graves. Feel free to share as many as you like. I think we are building a great resource for folks who are looking for their ancestors in far away places.

Hugs, Rusty

About Graves of American Revolution Veterans

This is the group I looked and looked for and couldn't find.

With so many of us history buffs, re-enactors and genealogists visiting colonial burying grounds and raising recognition of the brave men who bought us our freedom with their efforts and their lives, I thought we could pool our photographs of American Revolution monuments, cemeteries and, in particular, headstones and Bronze VA plaques, to the eternal benefit of those folks who might otherwise never see these names and places.

Ideally the name and death date in the title of the photo would be most useful for searches, but if your images are geo-tagged, the location data should be a big help in finding particular graves.
