Another Partial Success (a group admin) says:
20 Oct 09 - All photographs (no videos I'm afraid - not in the original intention of the group) of Ampthill and the surrounding area welcome!

Can folk try to stay within the reasonable boundaries of Ampthill - I've done a bit of a tidy up as there were a few shots which were stretching the limits of 'local'!

My apologies for any offence with the deletions as this absolutely isn't the intention - the aim is only to keep the group relevant to the title.

About Ampthill Bedfordshire

I was amazed to find that there isn't a group dedicated to Ampthill on Flickr so I thought I'd set one up!

Ampthill is a historic Market Town in Bedfordshire - the right to have a market was given by Henry III in 1242. There are historic links to Henry VIII (Catherine of Aragon lived in Ampthill Castle after her divorce from Henry and there's monument to her in Ampthill Park) and John Bunyan - nearby Houghton House was the "House Beautiful" in Pilgrims Progress and Colonel Richard Nicolls, who named New York has a memorial in the town's church.

Ontop of this the town and surrounding area is highly photogenic and the subject of many photographs.
