About Amnesty Eastern Suburbs
Welcome to the Flickr group for the Amnesty International Australia Eastern Suburbs Group.
We are a diverse collection of people from the local community who are concerned about human rights both in Australia and across the world.
We are involved in letter writing and campaigning on a broad range of human rights issues, within AIA's mission statement. Our main areas of current activity are David Hicks and the military commissions; a Burmese prisoner of conscience; the continued restrictions imposed upon Mordechai Vanunu and an Urgent Action response group.
The group meets in the restaurant of Durty Nelly’s pub, 9-11 Glenmore Road, Paddington (just off Oxford Street) at 6.30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. The next meet is on Tuesday 13th February 2007.
We are always looking for new members, so please come and join us!
