This is an invitation based group for members of the Ames Camera Club. The purpose will be to have an online forum of discussion and a place to store your favorite photos and photos intended to be used at meetings for show-and-tell or photo contests.

About Ames Camera Club Pictures

A group on flickr that was created in order to allow members of the Ames, Iowa Camera Club to share their favorite photos as well as a holding space for photos intended for show-and-tell or contest entries.

Please understand that this group is intended for people already in the camera club. If you're interested in the club, be assured that joining is easy and relatively inexpensive dues-wise. Follow the website link below, or contact Luke or Mark directly.

We meet once a month from September through May at the Ames Public Library (typically the second Thursday of the month at 7pm), hold some club contests, take some outings, enjoy invited speakers, and share pictures, techniques, and experiences.

The Ames club has a reputation for being perhaps unusually slanted toward vintage gear and film, but that may be just because of a few of us in the current leadership pool. If you are interested in photography in any form, you are welcome to check into the fun and see if there is something here for you.
