About American Iconography
Thoughtful, high-quality photographs that either depict the symbolic repertoire associated with the United States or in some other way express what you might call the Idea of America.
The imagery can be purely graphic, e.g. shapes and colors which suggest the flag:

or it might more literally depict a flag, or an American-themed mural, or other bit of American iconography:

The emphasis is on aesthetic quality, though of course political content is to be expected. Nevertheless, ideological views should be subtle and open to interpretation, so nothing too overt, whether pro or con. A certain sly humor, or perhaps a sober objectivity (or both?), goes much further than impassioned advocacy one way or the other.
Generally, film is encouraged and digital manipulations (and especially HDR) are discouraged.
