About Alternative News
Ever find the 'conventional' news just doesn't tell you very much ?
This is an attempt to have Flickr act as an alternative online news service. There are enough people from enough countries here to make this yet another valuable feature of Flickr.
Post ANY story, as long it is not libellous or defamatory, or infringes copyright, etc; otherwise, it will be removed.
Post news items that you have experienced personally, or ones that you are aware of - obviously, you'll need some kind of photo to back up/prove your story.
Post news that is not found in the mainstream media, or news that provides a substantially different angle.
Use comments, notes and/or descriptions to write the article (it does not need to be well written). Pictures without text will be removed !
You can have a news item on something relatively small in your own life, as long as it has implications for a wider audience (sacked unfairly from your job, etc.), or put up global news (pollution, etc.).
Be prepared to back up your reports with evidence, and don't break laws (no point having a news service that gets closed down).
Other than these guidelines, do as you please - if you can expand on them, please do.
Let the rest of the world know what's going on !
