About Altered Edinburgh
Manipulated photographs of Edinburgh, emphasizing the magical, unreal aspects of the city.
This group has been created as a companion to the Unreal Edinburgh group.
- In Unreal Edinburgh the photographs reveal the city's magic
- In Altered Edinburgh the post-processing creates or reveals the magic
Pictures of Edinburgh that show its magical, unreal moments. Familiar places seen in unfamiliar ways.
Pictures of the Castle and other tourist favourites are allowed, provided that they pass the "unreal" or "magical" test.
A picture does not belong here just because it happened to be taken in Edinburgh. It needs the touch of "unreality" or "magic" - created or enhanced by post-processing.
Avoid generic, could-have-been-taken anywhere pictures. Even if the picture is heavily processed, it should convey something of Edinburgh.
Red-cyan anaglyphs (3D pictures) of Edinburgh are welcomed - please tag with "anaglyph" or "3D".
The decision of the administrators is final - please do not be offended if your picture is removed as we try to create an identity for the group.
