03 Mar 07 - The pool is thriving, with many wonderful posts. As it has grown, so has the number of unsuitable pictures. From now on, black and white photos, photos with bright colours in them, and photos that have been obviously post-processed to remove the colour or create splashes of colour, may be removed from the pool without warning. For other less clearcut cases, a good rule of thumb is to look at a thumbnail of your picture, especially when it's in the pool - does it look (almost) black and white?

About Almost Black and WhiteThis group is for photographs shot in colour but which are nearly, almost, not-quite, black and white. Shades of grey, beige, or other very subtle colours are acceptable. No bright colours, and no addition or removal of colour by post-processing. The appeal is in the 'almost'. |
