Behind every picture…. There is a story

Al Jazeera Documentary Channel will air a short programme hosting selected photographs from around the world. An open invitation to all, from around the globe, to be participate in ‘Celebrating our humanity’. An expression of the human lense while documenting unique and important humanitarian events. Every picture should tell a story by addressing social and cultural issues, preferably looking at different perspectives. Such as what was done at The Spiritual Music Festival held in Fez, Morocco, or similar to Birthdays in Bethlehem, Palestine, or Landmarks of Civilisation in Latin America ...etc. Ardent photographers are invited to submit their photographs via Flickr, with the specifications outlined below. Selected photographs will be aired or displayed on-screen and will also be posted on Al Jazeera Documentary Channel website (All rights reserved). The winning photograph will be invited to participate in Al Jazeera’s International Film Festival, in April 2010.

تعتزم قناة الجزيرة الوثائقية إطلاق برنامج قصير لعرض الصور الفوتوغرافية من جميع أنحاء العالم. وستتاح الفرصة للمصورين أينما كانوا للتعبير بعدستهم عن الإنسان والمكان، وتوثيق اللحظات الإنسانية الفريدة، وتناول الأحداث الاجتماعية والثقافية وسواها. ويفضل أن تتناول الصور المقدمة عبر موقع Flickr موضوعا واحدا ولكن من زوايا مختلفة مثل: مهرجان الموسيقى الروحية في فاس/المغرب، أو أعياد الميلاد في مدينة بيت لحم / فلسطين، أو معالم حضارة الإنكا في أمريكا اللاتينية..الخ. وإذا تطابقت الصور المقدمة مع المواصفات أدناه، فسيتم عرضها على شاشة الجزيرة الوثائقية وعلى موقعها على الإنترنت، مع حفظ الحقوق الأدبية والمعنوية. كما سيتم اختيار أفضل صورة ودعوة صاحبها للمشاركة في مهرجان الجزيرة الدولي للأفلام التسجيلية في أبريل 2010.
