About Airborne RadarThis group is for pictures relating to any aircraft radar, including surveillance radar, fire control radar, weather radar, and so on. Any pictures of aircraft radar equipment, whether on or off the aircraft, including antennas, transmitters, and display consoles or other mission related equipment. Other types of airborne sensors, such as infrared or LLLTV and associated equipment are also welcome.This group will also accept pictures of any aircraft for which the radar provided the mission, including AWACS, E-2, EC-121, and so on. However, just because an aircraft has a radome, that in itself is not enough to qualify for this group. The radome has to be open, revealing all that lies inside, or the radar has to be the primary mission equipment, such as the aircraft listed above. |
