About Summer in America's Great Outdoors (2011)
The new media team at U.S. Department of the Interior is experimenting with using Flickr to showcase America's Great Outdoors. For more on President Obama's America's Great Outdoors Initiative, check out www.AmericasGreatOutdoors.gov.
What we're hoping to do here is map some of America's best summer photos, so please include only geo-tagged images. Non-geo-tagged images may be removed from the group's collection. Note: We may get better results with Flickr's smartphone apps than with the regular Web interface.
These photos are on public display, so please provide meaningful cutlines (i.e. name the park or landmark you're shooting). Please don't share images with us that you would prefer to keep private. Don't share other folks' images and please don't share photos of people (at least for now -- remember, this is a pilot/test).

One addendum: This group is all about pictures of America's Great Outdoors. "Grip & grin" photos have their place, but it's not here.
