About AgnosticAgnosticism (Greek: α-a-, without + γνώσις gnosis, knowledge) is that personal or philosophical position, broadly considered inaccessible to man all knowledge of the divine and which transcends or goes beyond I experienced or encountered. Agnosticism is a doctrine based on observations and experiences, and therefore inaccessible states as any phenomenon that escapes from experimentation or reproducibility. In other words, for an agnostic, the truth value of certain claims (especially regarding metaphysical theology, beyond the existence of God, gods, deities, or an ultimate reality) is unknowable or, depending on the variant from agnosticism, impossible to acquire knowledge because of the subjective nature of experience. |
