Wide angle lens

Hi everybody
I have a 35mm 1.8g mounted on a D7100 and my main topic is landscape photography. I know that this is not the best lens for that but i am very happy with the 35mm, mainly it's sharpness! around f/5.6 is awesome but i find my self doing a lot of panoramas to get "wider" so I decided to buy a wider lens (prime if possible and max of U$S 800) with the IQ of the 35mm. I've checked the 20 mm 1.8G and could be a good one but in terms of IQ and according to DXO there is not much difference considering it's price.
Which one do you recommend me?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor English!

I personally like using the 35mm, portrait oriented, to create panoramic landscapes. The problem with wider lenses is so many pixels are devoted to the foreground, and backgrounds are pushed too far back with little sharpness, too few pixels.

That said, the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 is an unmatched value, imo.

Thanks a lot Boyd Crochet:! 99% of my work are portrait orientated panos! the quality is amazing!
