About Affection: The Humble Love
This group is about affection. That is, the kind of love that is subtle and understated -- a look, a glance, a touch, a smile, the way bodies are arranged sitting on a park bench or under an umbrella -- that, without a word, manages to communicate more than words ever can. While this can be between lovers, it is definitely also seen in many other relationships, friendships.
It goes without saying that this group is not for pictures that would make people mutter "get a room!" and the like.
Having said that, let's see your pictures of that humblest of the loves: affection.

"Affection would not be affection if it was loudly and frequently expressed; to produce it in public is like getting your household furniture out for a move. It did very well in its place, but it looks shabby or tawdry or grotesque in the sunshine. Affection almost slinks or seeps through our lives. It lives with humble un-dress, private things; soft slippers, old clothes, old jokes, the thump of a sleepy dog’s tail on the kitchen floor, the sound of a sewing-machine, a gollywog left on the lawn.
"Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our lives." - C. S. Lewis
