I agree!! I am ready and waiting, and driving myself crazy, well maybe just the people at Hancock, when I go there almost daily to see if the new one is out!

no problem! I found out (by browsing the site obsessively) that the press kit contains a lot of helpful info, even if you aren't advertising. And I'll read anything when I'm bored ;)

Yay thanks for this info! It saves me from running out in the cold to see if they have it out yet!
But BOO, now I have to find another magazine for the plane ride next week!

I'm starting to wonder...I recall seeing Feb 12 listed in the magazine, too. And the press kit definitely listed March 11. It's not possible that they've folded, is it? I would be so sad! My life would lose that little bit of sparkle and happy I got from Adorn! Say it ain't so!
(no, I'm not inclined to the dramatic ;) )

I'm hoping this isn't true, but I read that Adorn has folded. I love this magazine and hope it isn't true, but here's where I read about it:

I checked the press kit again... it still says the Spring 2008 issue goes on sale March 11th. I've emailed, and haven't gotten any responses, so dear god, the next few days are going to be a difficult time to wait...

I'm hoping one of you lovely ladies will be able to post some good news re: adorn tomorrow :( I don't think I can express how sad it will be if they really have gone under. My boyfriend and I always made a day trip out of going to the nearest bookstore (an hour away!) to grab a copy of Adorn and Craft as they were released. Sure, we have other reasons to go (like awesome Mexican food), but it's just not the same...
Of course, this makes me want to start my own mag, but I have no idea how ;) Maybe one day!

Man this sucks! First, Blueprint, and now Adorn...All we can do is hope that something new comes along that is even more amazing, but I'm not sure that's possible. RIP Adorn *sigh*

well, with blueprint i had a subscription and they sent me a postcard saying that they could either continue it with "Martha Stewart Living", or I could call and cancel it entirely. i would guess they'd do something similar for Adorn.

Oh, I called Friday and the office was closed, so I planned on calling Monday. No reply to my email. I guess I'll keep trying. I've gotten only two issues of my one-year subscription. What a drag. And no one contacted me about how to handle the remaining issues due to me. I wasn't going to renew, anyway. There were too many ads and the articles were often ad-like. Still, I was getting more of a craft-fix than I was from Bust.

I Emailed them questionning about my subscription more than 3 times. It was over a month ago and I never get any reply back at all.
I had just started subscribing last year, received only ONE copy and that was it... They must at least annouce about their stop publishing. (I found out about "no more of this mag" on someone's blog) it should be easy to do on their website.
I guess they are not planning on refund or even an apology, I have been totally ignored.

I emailed them too and got no response. I bought a two year subscription and only received two issues. I'm rather angry about this and it's a big unprofessional of them to treat their customers like this.

You can't make a comment on the website blog either. The Anti-Spam image/word that is required for one to enter to be able to post a comment has been altered so it won't show up.

You have to call the publisher, and they are nice about it. They said that since I paid by credit card, my credit card will be reimbursed for the remaining issues. I should check on that (um, nope, it has not posted to my card in two weeks!). The number is near the front of the magazine and the hours are odd (close at 3pm CST). (877) 860-6164. They also said they would be sending a letter and I'd have the option of switching to a crochet or knitting mag. I do neither of those!!

qdpatooties. [deleted] says:
I called and left a message about the remaining issues on my subscription and the publisher called me back. They said they are working on a letter and we could transfer over to one of their other magazines if we like. It would have been nice to receive a letter before this happened instead of going to their website to renew and finding it GONE! It now says "Site off-line"
I'm bummed but I've already decided I'm going to start patronizing Craftstylish.com.

Ok, so two months have passed and still no refund (no letter, no nothing)!! I mean, sure it's only $6 or so, but come on! I've called at least twice.

Textile Fetish have you tried contacting Linda Permann herself?? I was listening to an old episode of Craftsanity that featured her and when I googled "what happened to adorn mag?" and "linda permann" her blog came up. She even has a new publication she writes for that gdpatooties wrote about, Craftstylish.com...
From her blog:
"Announcing CraftStylish.com
May 9, 2008 by lindamade
You may be wondering where my creative energies have run off to lately, and I’m pleased to finally announce part of the answer. Craft Stylish, a new website launched by the lovely people at Taunton Press."
She may be able to point you in the right direction of who you need to speak to or push to get your refund. That's just not right.

I suggest calling the number above as other readers have mentioned-- I no longer work for Soho Publishing (it has been over a year) and it's really up to them to reimburse you for unseen issues-- I have no pull as a former editor. My only advice is to be persistent!

I did. I called about every month or two for, what, the last 5 months? FINALLY I got a check (this week, that is). I just told the woman who answered the phone (who was perfectly nice) that I hated to keep calling her, and that all the times she said someone would contact me, no one did. This last time she must have gotten to me to the right person. I got a full refund.
I wouldn't expect that the editor would have any pull in this area, as subscriptions is a completely different area.
