(Sometimes) inspiration is an afterthought (?)

If I look at a picture again, after a few days, weeks, years even, it sometimes occurs to me that I should have waited that much time in the first place, before showing it to anyone else. Because I now think it's crap. And I am a bit embarrased, looking at other people's fancy footwork.

But hey, I grow, hopefully.

Sometimes, like in this example, I have a total non-picture that I took in a 'let's get this out of my system first' kinda state.
Then I do some processing on it, or even experiments with new stuff that I learned and think to myself: 'I like it more now'.
A day later I play around with it some more and, lo and behold, I like that one even better.

Sometimes inspiration is an afterthought. In the case of 'shop it's rather often.

Or is it the 'shop-till-you-drop syndrome?

Do you get that too?

One day it will all end

Sometimes I also find the opposite. I take a bunch of pictures and the first few times looking at them I'm not all that excited with them. Weeks or even months later I look at them and think that's actually a good picture.

I agree that inspiration can sometimes be an afterthought. Sometimes you just take pictures because you can. Later you realize that the picture might not be anything special but you can sure use the sky or use some rocks from it etc.

Sometimes I have two photos that are pretty rubbish on their own that can work together really well. Thats always interesting.

I've been trying to organise my library to try and let me see an old photos I could reuse (sounds like recyling scheme which I guess it is in a way =p)

The intellect was barely contained.

Better Than Worse Than Before

Although, sometimes people prefer the originals. Sometimes I can actally take things abit too far. Which is the danger with photoshop for me.
