I was late starting this morning, on my first go at DILO. I work in Tokoroa and the "The Big Day Out" is happening there. I should get some interesting shots.

Just beginning the school holidays here too, so it'll be a day at home with the kids. Probably not a lot different from my first DILO last Dec 21st. :)

Today was the day the lower chamber announced its decision to ban muslim women from wearing a burqa. went to a meeting on programming a reporting database, to the editorial meeting of trendwatcher's magazine "eYe". Then Bob dropped me off at Station Zuid and I went home by train. While underway I had to wait a lot at stations and tramstops, so you see a lot of these, and I also shot a lot of cyclists, just for fun. The weather was awful, but I've shot more or less everything that happened to me (not much)
set the speed at 1 sec, it's more fun, that way. i've uploaded them so, that you travel back in time.

My DILO set for December 21 is here.
I'm visiting my parents' place for Chistmas at the moment, so I had a pretty relaxing DILO day; I didn't take nearly as many photos as last time. Having the "food" theme was good, as it gave me something to focus on, even when being lazy. :)

Today was more of a relaxing day for me than I usually have, probably because I've set aside several of the projects I'm working on to take the DILO shots. There are 14 now (soon to be 15) in my dilodec05 set, all of them captioned, and, while there are a few hours left in my Wednesday, I'll probably not add any more. I really should do a bit of work on at least some of those projects mentioned above.

Today was a cold day, in which I had no work to do except tutoring midday. So I pottered around the house and kept my camera nearby. After tutoring, I saw a spectacular sunset, which I was able to catch because the camera was in the car. Then, on the way home, I passed this house.

The contrast between it and the sunset made me smile. You can see them both in my dilodec05 set. Although the day was quiet, I was happy with the pictures I took of Massachusetts and my day. (My edit changed the picture to a thumbnail...I had put in the small size ; ()

Started my day late, I was up far too long last night. No photos in the building I work but I took some on the way to lunch. We stayed at lunch for 3 hours before heading to walmart as some of my coworkers needed a few last minute gifts. I ended up at a bar and and left with a $30.00 check.

I live in south Georgia, USA; this is my 5th DILO on flickr. I'm on Christmas Break from teaching third grade, and my husband and I are leaving tomorrow for a 10-day trip to visit family and have a vacation; so, it was a busy day. I went to the beauty shop for a perm, did some Christmas shopping, visited customer service at the cell phone company, had my teeth cleaned at the dentist, and ended the day with a Christmas dinner at a restaurant with the people from my church.

21/12/05 was a bit dull and dingy here in Southampton, which was a shame as both days on either side have been crisp and blue, but you only get what you are given with weather. Day was taken up with mundane tasks such as visting the local Homebase for new electrical sockets, but I did have fun bathing, well showering actually, my dogs. Also, in a first for me, I managed to take a self-portrait that I didn't immediately hate.
Enjoy the holidays everyone :)

Not the most exciting day here in Barnsley, but took the opportunity to pay a visit to a local park I've not visited since I was a child. It was amazing how much of the place had changed, but it made for some interesting exploring and photographs. After that it was business as usual, fussing pets, playing games and uploading photos to flickr! So here's my DILO photo set.

My first DILO (most of them are public now - just need to finish the tagging and descriptions and delete any remaining shockers).
Not a particularly exciting day, a visit to the garage, a day at work and two visits to the local pub about sums it up. More detail in the set and individual photos.
The set is here:

Just need to tidy her up and decide which 5 to add to the pool.
Edit: All photos in the set are now public (trimmed it down from 69 to 56 in the process) and my 5 most representative shots are in the group pool. Sitting back to watch the comments and views come flooding in... ;-)

My DILO day was fairly quiet, starting with a lovely golden sunrise, a morning spent resting as I wasn’t feeling too well, and an afternoon when I had to make an unexpected trip into Newquay - at least that meant I could get a few shots on the beach and a fairly good sunset.

I forgot that it was DILO day until I realized that it was the first day of Winter!
I live in Wolfville, Nova Scotia on the East coast of Canada and it is definitely Winter with a slightly cold day with snow on the ground.
It was a relatively quiet day as I went for a drive with my son and a friend into Halifax for lunch and some Christmas shopping. It was a nice day and I didn't take too many photos. You can see all of my day in my DILO set.

I had to double check that it was Winter Solstice and not Spring Solstice. The freezing weather was replaced by warm rain. But that's typical for Seattle. I hope the snow in the mountains stays for the ski season.

Food didn't figure highly in my day so there are no food shots.
Neither are there shots through the window.
Because it was Winter Solstice, there was a lantern parade in Chinatown but work got in the way and I missed all the fun, spending the evening drawing in front of the television instead. So there are no festive lantern shots.
But here is a set of things I was able to take photos of:

I just about completely flunked DILO. I did remember my camera, but did I remember to charge the battery? No. 2nd camera - battery also nearly flat. Spare battery for 2nd camera was the old one that doesn't hold much charge. The result is beyond dull - and what's more, I still haven't uploaded them because I kept forgetting to charge the batteries! I am so busy this week...
Tomorrow, though, I will post something. As always, it's great to see what everyone else has been doing.

I'm afraid I didn't take a single photograph on this DILO day as I was laid up with a nasty bug. Didn't get out of bed until 4pm and spent the rest of the day on the settee feeling sorry for myself.
Bit better today, though still aching all over. Been to the doctor and got some antibiotics for the throat infection. He said I could have a glass of sherry (or two) on Christmas day so all is not lost.
Look forward to looking through all your photos when I'm feeling well enough to sit here for longer than 15 minutes.

Like everyday, midnight came and I was at work. Working 7pm to 2 am has kind of skewed my view of the day.
I took a few pictures after work and on my way home. When I woke up, I took the dog for a walk around our ice encased town.
In the afternoon, Nikki came home from work. We picked up Liam from daycare and went grocery shopping. w00t!

Liam and I played when we got home. But soon he had to eat dinner and I had to go to work. At work, we had a pot-luck dinner and Yankee Gift Swap.
I was a good day. Then again, most days are.

Talk about being my lucky day! I didn't even know about DILO being on the 21st.
And lucky because I took 1/2 a day off work to go to Monterey and take pictures of the big waves they were having.
So when I saw the invite from Mimosa (thanks Michelle) I jumped on the bandwagon because I knew on this day I had taken about 400 pictures. In fact, any time you get to take off work to take pictures is a good day to me.
I'm sorry I don't have a set because I can't figure out how to do it!
Have a very nice weekend everyone!

Dec 21 was my step son's birthday so it was a special day. He played video games for a while (his favorite thing in the world), then we got ready and hit the road. We went to the Nutcracker ballet, followed by pizza for dinner, the birthday boy's choice. Next, we went to the Festival of Lights at the zoo, where of course the highlight was riding the train. Back at home, we celebrated the birthday with a cookie cake and vanilla ice cream. It was a truly special day for our family, and I will certainly remember it for many years as an almost perfect birthday day.

Fragile Queen [deleted] says:
My 21st of December was spent at the wedding of Carol Nightingale to Tim Horton. They married at St Hybald's Church, Scawby, North Lincolnshire and the reception was at Hemswell Cliff. The subject matter is meant to reflect on the full day. The stained glass window picture was taken in the church before the bride arrived. The second photo was of the happy couple setting off for the reception. The candle was our table centre. I thought the Georgian window looking into the reception would be apt for the theme of this site and finally, I included the official photographer in the picture of the bride and groom's dance.

Finally I have my act together!! The 21st was a fairly uneventful day for us, though it was a good day. First day of Christmas vacation, errands, visiting with friends...

Dec 21 was a fairly boring and depressing day. I went to work...it rained (it has as of today been raining for 23 days straight in pdx). I went to the mail to trade in a pair of jeans that didn't fit. And my daughter left to spend the holidays with her father's family.

I'm from Freiburg, Germany. At December 21, I had to get up early to catch a train for a meeting in the small German town of Groß-Umstadt. The train went from Freiburg to Darmstadt, where somebody came with a car to bring me to Groß-Umstadt. After the meeting, I visited the old town of Groß-Umstadt, which is fairly impressive.
So far for the story -- but the photos are less impressive: they neither show Freiburg railway station nor the train journey nor Darmstadt nor the meeting and not even the pictorial old town, but only our cat using my early start in the day for an adventure in my wardrobe and my laptop case -- I did not take my camera with me (too bulky).
