About Actually Looks Like a Movie

Tired of looking for cinematic shots only to find a group full of cat pictures and drunken gangsta' poses? Maybe it's time we had a group for cinematic shots that had some quality control. Post your cinematic-looking shots, and they will be reviewed for movie-like quality before being accepted.

At the moment, there is only myself and 4 other admins administering the selection process. If you're sure your shot looked like a movie but it didn't get in, don't worry about it, it's probably just our internal film-snob rearing it's ugly head. As the group gets bigger, I will offer admin-ship to more submitters, and hopefully that will expand the pallet of movie snobyness that goes into the selection process.

This is about having fun, so don't take it too seriously.

What is not going to be accepted:
-Obvious HDR
-Portrait or Square ratios.
-Snapshots, gear shots, screenshots, drawings, pr0n.
-Obvious static poses.
-Obtrusive watermarks, titles or frames (letterbox matting is okay).

What is encouraged:
-Aspect ratios in the real cinematic range (16:9 to 2.39:1, even 4:3 sometimes)
-Shots that look like you caught the subject mid-scene.
-Narrative shots.
-Establishing shots.
-You know that really awesome shot you saw in [movie name goes here] ? Yeah, like that.
