Hi, everybody! Sorry if I am a bit late in posting my suggestion for this week's topic but Christmas holiday is a busy time... (too busy relaxing, having fun in the snow, playing with my kids, baking biscuits and all that stuff, you know).
My topic is: lenses. You can take photos of anything you like but in your image the lens (glasses, contact lenses, magnifying lenses, telescopes, camera lenses...any!) must be an important part of the composition.
Dare: show us the world through your lens (and of course I don't mean your camera's lens but the lens that you put in your photo)!
Restriction: no people in the photo...but any other human living being is allowed.
Can't wait to see your photos! :)

I am sorry, but do not understand the restriction. No people in the photo but humans allowed?

I think what's being indicated is that a photo of a person in glasses is not what he's looking for. That's just my interpretation though.

DO Critique at least three other photos posted.
DO Encourage your fellow photographers. Offer suggestions, advice, pointers etc. You will find that by teaching, you will learn more.
DON'T Leave personally disparaging, ad hominem, or otherwise insulting comments about the photographer. If the photo you're doing a critique on is really, REALLY bad, take the high road and give some constructive advice. Expiration
This assignment ends at 8pm UTC (aka GMT) on Monday, January 12, when you should have completed the assignment and posted your photo(s).
In case you're wondering about the closing time, check on the time remaining calculator.
Voting
Voting can take place anytime once a photo is submitted, but all voting must be completed twenty-four hours after the close of the assignment. The time remaining calculator also shows the time for close of voting.
• All members of the group may cast up to 2 votes.
• It is expected that those who have submitted photos will vote, and those vote(s) must be for submission(s) other than their own.
• Votes are made up of two parts:
(1) comment on the photo like thisI voted this "BestOfWeek#" (from Active Assignment Weekly group). replace # with the sequential number of your vote.
You may cut and paste the following text for your commentsI voted this "BestOfWeek#" (from <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/activeassignment/">Active Assignment Weekly</a> group). (2) TAG the photo"BestOfWeek#" replace # with the sequential number of your vote.

It's my first week in the group and I am so excited that this was the theme. In college I had to do a symbolic self portrait and I drew a picture of my glasses! Lenses are very near and dear to me. :)
I'm so glad to be here! I hope my photos are worthy!
