Milverton

Glandore Marine 9:54pm, 25 November 2013
Hello

My name is Diarmaid I own a Achillies 9m called Milverton sail no Irl 410
we have the boat since 96 went we bought her she had been lying up and needed a lot of work. In 1999 we resprayed her topsides and fitted a Harken main Track we windward sheeting car and a Selden boom. In the winter of 2001 we fitted new genoa tracks and cars with a track forward between the the babystays. The single primary winch was removed and two new twin speed selftailers fitted to both sides. All standing rigging was replaced and Dynmena halyards for main two genoa along with two spinaker halyards, this has allowed us to change sails going upwind or downwind. Everything from the mast was lead back to the cockpit via deck organisers to clutches and two small self tailing winches.
The boat was rewired and fitted with Navico Instruments split charging a large services bank and an engine bank

Milverton looks great, and what a lovely place to keep her. I must get over there again soon.

Hope to be in the Glandore area in early January.Would like to see Milverton and all the work you've done on her if it's convenient. I up-sized from an Achilles 24 to a 9m this year. Just ordered new sails and hope to do some more work over the winter. I need to bring lines back to cockpit etc.
