Just had my offer on an Achilles 9m accepted, subject to survey.
She's Boomerang, Sail no. 43 and is in Milford Haven marina.

Many thanks to my friend, John White, and Alan Jones -Super Snoopy- for accompanying me on the inspection and for all their advice.

2 new 9M owners in 2 days!!!! What’s going on?

Congratulations’, I know your going to enjoy the extra 6ft. What are your plans?

All going well with the survey, sail her to Waterford, probably. Then up along Irish coast to Skerries. Depends on weather. She's paid up until end of April so no rush yet. Gives me time to do a bit of a clean and small jobs on her. I'll get the engine serviced before crossing too.

Hope you enjoy her Paul, nice to see that you have remained in the "Achilles Family" un like some of us...hahaha Hope to see that Tiller nicely varnished with a stunning paint job.

Thanks, Malcolm and Neil.
Afraid it will just be a simple varnish coat unless I can find some calligraphy classes.
I believe the group consists of those who appreciate Achilles yachts whether they own one or not.

errr you don't need calligraphy classes Paul just a tin of signwriting enamel and a fairly good brush... Admittedly I did do a signwriting course but to be honest wasn't that much help... just practice makes perfect.. Still have a long way to go, but as a result everything is getting painted with lettering... quite rewarding to be different

Congratulations on the new buy, as Neil says, its a lot of boat for the money.

It seems that most of the extra six feet is forward of the mast, it seems to be all foredeck - or is it just the angle of the photo?

Thanks guys.
Think it's just the angle. I guess about 2' 6" extra in front of mast.

Malcolm, I can just about sign my name in a scrawl so it's just plain varnish!
